DESCRIPTION:

Leadership
• Lead the unit to achieve the staff individual objectives and personal growth objectives in a cohesive manner.
• Develop a program for Accident Prevention and Safety Recommendations human capacity building and supervise its implementation.
• Oversee the consolidation and recommend the unit’s budget and monitor financial performance.
• Lead the strategic projects, initiatives and programs of Accident Prevention and Safety Recommendations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Act as a UAE National Coordinator of the Aviation Disaster Family Assistance Plan with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority.

Accident Prevention and Safety Recommendations Management
• Manage the safety recommendations activities while ensuring meeting the implementation targets and record all safety recommendations.
• Review the remedy actions submitted by the safety recommendations addressees, evaluate them, and present the results and proposed response to the Safety Recommendation Panel.
• Develop, improve and monitor the policies for safety recommendations of Global Concern (SRGC) and provide risk analysis for the relevant ones and proposals for implementation.
• Lead and manage the AAIS education and training programs for the external and internal stakeholders.
• Represent the AAIS in SSP related activities by participating in the UAE State Safety Program (SSP)
• Review the safety studies, reports and analysis and plan its scope and provide approval based on the process and guidelines.
• Manage the development of periodic safety recommendations status reports.
• Manage the development of the AAIS Annual Performance Report

Database and Knowledge Sharing
• Lead and participate in national and international aviation safety seminars, fora and workshops to gain new knowledge and development, techniques, and mechanisms in safety data sharing.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

University degree in a technical discipline relevant to the aviation industry, or equivalent aviation technical qualification; with 7 years’ experience in Aviation Safety.
