DescriptionWe are currently recruiting for an Assistant Manager - QHSE to join our Taste of Home team in Dubai.
Scope: This role is responsible for developing and enforcing the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policies, focusing on food safety (HACCP, Dubai Municipality standards, ISO:22000), staff QHSE training, risk assessments, audits, incident investigation, and compliance with local laws and regulations to prevent hazards, ensure food hygiene, and maintain high service quality for clients.

Customer
- Consult with the customer to ensure all Food Safety requirements are met.
- Ensure all food service outlets comply with local food safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct investigations into customer complaints and provide detailed corrective action reports.
Process
- Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE manuals, procedures, and Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS) including HACCP, ISO:22000, BRCGS in alignment with Dubai and UAE standards.
- Maintain QMS documentation, SOPs, and records to support compliance and operational excellence.
- Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Ensure full adherence to Dubai Municipality (DM), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and other local/international food safety, hygiene, and safety regulations.
- Oversee the production facility and food service outlets to ensure adherence to hygiene and regulatory standards.
- Monitor corrective actions, conduct verification activities, and guide operations to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and inspections across kitchen and operational areas.
- Identify hazards, recommend mitigation measures, and act as the internal subject matter expert for food safety.
- Develop and deliver regular staff training sessions on food hygiene, safe handling practices, accident prevention, and emergency response.
- Ensure continuous staff competency in QHSE requirements.
- Investigate incidents including accidents, food poisoning, and near-miss cases.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and implement corrective and preventative action plans.

- Collaborate with catering operations to ensure the highest levels of food safety and product quality.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies (DM, DHA) on all QHSE matters.
- Ensure timely communication and documentation relating to compliance and operational performance.
Innovation
- Identify and recommend improvement initiatives based on KPI monitoring and trend analysis.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by proposing new ideas, systems, or practices that enhance food safety and operational excellence.
Selection Criteria
- Experience – 3-5 years in Similar Roles. Experience in large scale catering operation is required (circa 20k meals plus per day). Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring, and improving QHSE and Food safety systems within high volume production environments.
- Education – Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline. Certified by DM to deliver BFH, PIC and HACCP training internally. Certified Food Safety Trainer (Train the Trainer), HACCP level 3 certification from Food Safe and Management Solutions (FAMS) and HACCP Internal Auditor Certification- Food Safe and Management Solutions (FAMS) accreditation is preferred. Additional QHSE related accreditations is an advantage.
- Skills -Technical – Strongly proficient in developing, implementing, monitoring, and improving integrated QHSE management systems. Solid understanding of HACCP, ISO 22000, risk assessment, methodologies, and food safety auditing standards. Ability to conduct investigations, analyze data, prepare compliance reports, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Hard – Comprehensive knowledge of management systems, food safety regulations, risk assessment and operational compliance requirements. Strong reporting skills. Capability to apply risk assessment principles effectively to operations. Strategic planning
