Head - Quality, Safety and Security
Oman RegionalLead Oman Regional's Quality, Safety and Security department across the airline's build and operating phases. Reporting independently to the Accountable Manager, the role leads the QSS workstream for Air Operator Certificate approval and provides independent assurance against Civil Aviation Authority of Oman and international requirements.
Responsibilities include building and running compliance monitoring and business continuity, owning the Compliance Statement and document control, acting as the primary CAA interface, directing the airline-wide risk-based audit programme and corrective actions, and managing the Safety Management System in line with ICAO principles and CAR-100 / CAR OPS-1.037. The role also oversees FOQA, FRMS, occurrence reporting, just culture and aviation security under the National Civil Aviation Security Programme.
Applicants should have extensive senior leadership experience in quality, compliance, safety management and/or aviation security within commercial air transport, at least ten years of aviation industry experience, and a proven record of building and leading an integrated QSS function through AOC approval. Strong knowledge of SMS, compliance monitoring, safety risk management, audits and regional aviation is required. Experience with turboprop operations, lead auditing, safety investigations, FOQA / FRMS and Middle East operations is an advantage.
