- Supports the implementation of health, safety and environmental policies and procedures in the workplace and provides reliable firefighting equipment.
Responsibilities:
Support the conducting of an HSE inspection or audit to ensure compliance with QHSE standards.
Conduct toolbox talks as requested by the area owner.
Respond immediately to HSE incidents using the established emergency communication channels and protocols, to minimize damages as much as possible.
Conduct routine and visual HSE inspections to immediately correct any discrepancies.
Ensure that observations and findings are communicated properly.
Inspect fire extinguishers and first aid boxes on a monthly basis.
Ensure that Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is implemented effectively in the relevant department.
Respond to any HSE incident/accident and disseminate information to all concerned department personnel.
Measures air and noise pollution levels.
Check and inspect firefighting equipment regularly and report immediately if one of the items is not working properly.
Complying with Kuwait Steel policies, HSE Management System and Integrated Management System (ISO9001/14001/45001).
Executing Health, Safety and Environment plans in the workplace according to HSE standard, company and country rules and legal regulations.
Achieving and maintaining company HS&E targets, objectives and preserving and protecting Kuwait Steel lives.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in science/engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE Management and Fire & Safety Management Systems.
Preferred Experience:
- Completing a professional certification program in health and safety management.
- Previous worked experience in Steel Industry in a related position can also give an advantage
