Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking a highly skilled HSE Director - Delivery to oversee the health, safety, and environmental strategies throughout the delivery phase of our transformative projects. This critical role requires a leader who can ensure that all operations maintain the highest safety standards while effectively managing environmental impact.
The HSE Director - Delivery will work closely with project teams, ensuring compliance with both internal policies and external regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a culture of safety and sustainability, making significant contributions to the health and safety performance of Qiddiya’s ambitious development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of HSE strategies and initiatives during the delivery of projects to meet organizational goals.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of HSE practices, ensuring that all activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
- Work collaboratively with project managers to integrate HSE considerations into project plans and processes.
- Oversee incident investigations, ensuring detailed reporting and the implementation of corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Design and implement training programs aimed at enhancing the HSE competency of all employees and contractors.
- Monitor HSE performance metrics and conduct regular audits of projects to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Engage with regulatory authorities, ensuring full compliance with local and international HSE standards.
- Promote innovative HSE practices and champion a culture of continuous improvement across all project delivery teams.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and legislative developments in health, safety, and environmental management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of hands-on experience in HSE management, particularly in the construction or infrastructure sectors during project delivery phases.
- Expert knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to project management.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and implement effective HSE strategies and programs.
- Leadership capabilities with a track record of influencing senior management and stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong focus on detail and continuous improvement.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are preferred.
- Proven experience managing health, safety, and environmental concerns in a dynamic project environment.
