  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards (like ISO 45001), and project requirements. 
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans: Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to minimize risks. 
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare reports: Analyze accidents and incidents to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions. 
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits: Ensure compliance with HSE standards and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Deliver toolbox talks and safety training sessions: Educate workers on safety procedures and best practices. 
  • Maintain proper safety documentation and compliance records: Keep accurate records of audits, inspections, training, and other HSE-related activities. 
  • Liaise with Ashghal HSE representatives (if applicable): Coordinate with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with their requirements. 
  • Support the development and implementation of integrated management systems: Contribute to the development of systems that align with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BS OHSAS 18001. 
  • Provide HSE expertise for various project phases: Offer support during basic engineering, EPCC phases, and construction, maintenance, and operation. 
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (any discipline) or NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management. 
  • Certification:
    ISO 45001 Lead Auditor Certification is mandatory. 
  • Experience:
    Minimum 10 years of experience as an HSE Engineer, with Ashghal or O&M project experience highly preferred. 
  • Skills:
    Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Knowledge:
    Familiarity with relevant HSE legislation, international safety engineering codes and standards, and integrated management systems. 
Desirable:
  • Experience with developing and maintaining integrated business management systems.
  • Strong understanding of Qatar's HSE regulatory framework.
  • Membership in a recognized professional engineering or HSE association/institution.
