Description

To support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs, procedures, and initiatives in compliance with Client HSE requirements, applicable regulations, and industry best practices to ensure safe and sustainable operations.



Responsibilities
HSE Implementation & Compliance

Support the execution of HSE plans and procedures as per Client HSE standards and legal requirements.

Ensure adherence to Life Saving Rules and project-specific safety requirements.

Conduct routine site inspections, hazard spotting, and compliance checks.

Risk Management

Participate in hazard identification (HAZID), risk assessments, and the development of control measures.

Assist in preparing and reviewing Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and monitoring Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance.

Incident Reporting & Investigation

Report all incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions in line with Client requirements.

Assist in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and development of corrective actions.

HSE Monitoring & Assurance

Monitor HSE performance indicators and maintain relevant records.

Support the planning and execution of HSE audits and inspections.

Prepare HSE reports for submission to management and the Client.

Emergency Preparedness

Assist in developing and maintaining emergency response plans.

Participate in drills, ensuring readiness of personnel and equipment.

Training & Awareness

Deliver HSE inductions for new personnel and contractors.

Support HSE awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.

Environmental Management

Assist in implementing environmental protection measures, waste management, and pollution prevention.

Conduct monitoring activities as per project environmental plans.



Qualifications

Graduate in Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.

Minimum 7 years’ HSE experience in the oil & gas industry, with exposure to offshore operations preferred.

NEBOSH IGC or equivalent HSE certification.

ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Training

Have previous client approval letter (ADNOC or ARAMCO)

OPITO BOSIET & OPITO H2S

Offshore Medical Fitness Certificate

Active membership to Internationally recognized HSE Organization (IOSH, BCSP, etc.)

Knowledge of Client HSE requirements, applicable regulations, and ISO standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).

Experience in risk assessment, PTW systems, and incident reporting.

Skills & Competencies

Proactive approach to identifying and resolving safety issues.

Client-Specific Requirements

Knowledge of Life Saving Rules and ability to promote their application.

Familiarity with Client HSEMS, PTW, and SIMOPS processes.

Understanding of Client audit and compliance monitoring systems.
