DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and proactive HSE Engineer to support and oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance on a major infrastructure project in Riyadh. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infrastructure or construction environments and play a critical role in implementing project-specific HSE strategies, conducting audits, and ensuring the highest safety standards are maintained on-site.
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the HSE plan in alignment with project requirements and local regulations.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and HSE audits to ensure compliance and identify potential hazards.
- Oversee the performance of contractors with respect to health and safety requirements.
- Investigate incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Review and evaluate method statements, risk assessments, and HSE plans submitted by contractors.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all project teams.
- Provide training and awareness sessions to staff and contractors as needed.
- Coordinate with client representatives, contractors, and internal teams to ensure project safety objectives are met.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, and incidents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant HSE experience in infrastructure or large-scale construction projects.
- Certification in NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, or equivalent (mandatory).
- SCE registration in Health and Safety is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of local HSE laws, regulations, and international standards (ISO 45001).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working under PMCM or consultant frameworks is a plus.
- Saudi nationals preferred as per client Saudization guidelines.
