Responsibilities- To ensure compliance with established safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Support the development of KSA national employees across the team to achieve corporate objectives, Saudization targets, and foster a culture of knowledge dissemination to build internal capabilities and maximize performance.
- Support and conduct the affairs of the team with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety, and corporate governance.
- Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics policy, promote company values across all employees, and provide leadership to reinforce a strong people culture and ethical business practices.
- Facilitate the adoption and utilization of systems and ERP within the function.
- Prepare and implement project Safety & Emergency Plans/Programs.
- Monitor and ensure HSE orientation for new employees on projects is completed.
- Review method statements and ensure risk assessments are completed.
- Ensure HSE compliance during site setup or mobilization stage.
- Ensure and monitor safety toolbox meetings, HSE awareness sessions, and training are conducted.
- Investigate incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are undertaken.
- Prepare and schedule site emergency drills and ensure they are carried out as planned.
- Participate in and review hazard identification, risk assessment, and compliance with recommended controls to mitigate hazards.
- Review Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Ensure material handling and storage is conducted in an approved manner.
- Prepare project “Lessons Learned” reports related to HSE.
- Conduct planned inspections, identify potential hazards, and ensure controls are in place.
- Prepare a traffic management plan at the site.
- Monitor waste management and ensure disposal is carried out as per the safety plan.
- Identify and ensure implementation of field HSE procedures, including work permits for hazardous jobs at the site where required.
- Conduct HSE audits and analyze trends.
- Manage the performance of the HSE team.
Qualifications- BA/ BSC/ Diploma in Safety Management or relevant
- NEBOSH / IOSH Managing Safely / OHSA Certification
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in HSE in a comparable sized operation to ESEC
- Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus
- Proficient in MS Office Suites
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus)
- Advanced in integrated management system.
- Advanced in occupational health and safety management.
- Proficient in management of waste and dangerous substances.
- Proficient in environmental impact.
- Advanced in risk assessment and mitigation.
