Description

JASARA PMC is seeking an experienced HSEW Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for leading our health, safety, environment, and welfare (HSEW) initiatives across various projects. Your expertise will help us maintain our commitment to a safe working environment and ensure compliance with national and international regulations.

The HSEW Manager will develop effective strategies and programs aimed at mitigating risk, promoting safety awareness, and enhancing overall workplace well-being. You will work closely with project teams and management to foster a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety practices, ultimately contributing to the successful delivery of projects within the framework of JASARA’s vision and mission.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement HSEW policies, procedures, and strategies that align with organizational goals and comply with legal standards.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments, audits, and inspections to monitor HSEW practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead HSEW training programs and workshops to ensure personnel are equipped with the necessary safety knowledge and skills.
  • Monitor and analyze HSEW performance metrics, preparing detailed reports for management review.
  • Coordinate incident investigations to determine root causes and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented.
  • Engage with external regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure compliance and facilitate communication on HSEW matters.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture among all employees, emphasizing the importance of individual responsibility for safety.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in HSEW management, ideally in the construction or project management sectors.
  • Thorough knowledge of HSEW regulations, standards, and practices.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.
  • Proficient in conducting audits, risk assessments, and safety training.
  • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and develop action plans.
  • Professional certification in HSEW (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively report on HSEW matters.
