Job Title: Inspector, Safety
Key Accountabilities:
Conduct safety inspections and audits of work sites, facilities, and equipment to identify potential hazards, unsafe conditions, and non-compliance with safety regulations.
• Review safety procedures, policies, and practices to ensure they meet regulatory requirements and industry standards, and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Inspect equipment, machinery, and tools for compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications, and identify maintenance and repair needs to ensure safe operation.
• Evaluate workplace ergonomics and design to identify risks of musculoskeletal injuries and recommend ergonomic solutions and improvements.
• Assess chemical, biological, and physical hazards in the workplace, including exposure to hazardous substances, noise, and radiation, and recommend control measures to mitigate risks.
• Conduct hazard assessments and risk analyses to evaluate the potential consequences of workplace hazards and develop risk mitigation strategies.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and contributing factors, and develop recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver safety training programs and workshops to employees on topics such as hazard awareness, emergency response, and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.
• Maintain records and documentation related to safety inspections, audits, incidents, and corrective actions, and prepare reports summarizing findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
B B.A. or B.Sc. or Diploma
Minimum Experience:
Two (2) years of experiences in any field that involves safety inspections
Skills:
• English language proficiency (oral and written)
• Technical aspects of safety field
