Job Purpose |
Provide technical expertise, and guidance for the organization in developing and implementing the Process Safety Management system requirements and ensure compliance with PS-related MSHEMS requirements. |
Key Accountabilities |
Provide expert support and advice across Maaden on process safety matters. In depth knowledge and ability to apply SAIS regulations as they apply to process safety.

Conduct and oversee studies such as Hazard Identification (HAZID), Hazard and Operability (HAZOP), Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
|
Investigate process safety incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
|
Monitor and analyze process safety performance metrics (e.g., leading/lagging indicators) and develop action plans to address gaps.
|
Ensure Compliance to Maaden MSHEMS requirements, including EHSS Bypassing, Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR).
|
Support alarm management rationalization and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) assessments.
|
Provide technical support in the design and implementation of safety systems, including emergency shutdown systems, pressure relief systems, and hazardous area classification.
|
Participate in initiatives to enhance process safety culture, including training programs, competency frameworks, and emergency response planning.
|
Participate in corporate/ BUs process safety initiatives including improvement teams and assessments
|
Skilled in Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP), including NFPA, API, ATEX, IEC, and NEC standards.
|
Represent Maaden in corporate process safety initiatives, audits, and industry benchmarking activities.
|
Engage with internal teams, third-party consultants, and Corporate EHSS stakeholders to align safety strategies with business objectives.
|
Skilled in applying appropriate methodologies for different types of hazard identification and risk analysis.
|
Skilled in implementing best risk assessment technique for MOC process.
|
Skilled in auditing the readiness review PSM process (e.g. PSSR, MOC, Deferment …etc.), identifying any gaps or inefficiencies, and recommending improvements.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering |
Minimum Experience: 8+ Years' of related experience in petrochemical, refinery or mining industries |
