Description

Lead HSE Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and standards on the project site in Abu Dhabi. The role involves providing expert advice on HSE strategies, risk management, and regulatory compliance to maintain a safe working environment
work closely with project stakeholders to drive a strong safety culture and implement effective HSE management systems in accordance with Abu Dhabi Occupational Safety and Health System Framework (ADOSH) and client guidelines.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor the project’s HSE management system in compliance with ADOSH and OSHAD regulations.
  • Provide expert guidance to HSE personal on risk assessments and hazard identification processes and day to day tasks related to Health and Safety.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety reviews to ensure adherence to HSE policies and procedures.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the development and execution of emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs for employees, subcontractors.
  • Maintain and ensure proper documentation of HSE reports, inspections, and compliance records.
  • Advise on regulatory requirements and liaise with relevant authorities, including ADOSH for compliance matters.
  • Develop project-specific HSE supervision plans, safety method statements, and risk mitigation measures.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives in health and safety performance.
     


Requirements
  • 12 years for Sr. HSE Engineer of vivid experience in Health and Safety Domain, out of which 
  • 3 years as Senior HSE Engineer experience accompanied by OSH related master’s degree or
  • 4 years as Senior HSE Engineer experience accompanied by OSH related bachelor’s degree/NEBOSH Intl  diploma or
  • 5 years as Senior HSE Engineer experience accompanied by OSH Qualification (Level 6)
  • OSHAD practitioners Course (OSHAD registration is plus point)
  • ISO 45001:2018 Lead Auditor Qualification
  • Strong experience in conducting HSE audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Proven track record in providing HSE consultancy services for large-scale projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and influence safety culture at all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HSE management software.
