Accountabilities

HSE Responsibilities:

  • Promote HSE policies, culture, and best practices.
  • Provide HSE supervision at offshore sites, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Be visible on-site, reinforcing safety culture and leading by example.
  • Identify and report HSE deficiencies, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
  • Participate in HSE meetings, training sessions, and site inspections.

Security Responsibilities:

  • Respond to crisis and emergency situations on a 24/7 basis.
  • Ensure effective control of all emergency response tasks.
  • Implement security measures to protect staff, crews, and assets.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and facility security audits.
  • Maintain security awareness programs covering travel safety and ongoing training.
  • Develop and maintain the offshore security plan and risk assessments.

Responsibilities & Duties:

Daily HSE Activities:

  • Attend daily HSE briefings and Toolbox Talks (TBTs) at assigned locations.
  • Ensure HSE compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
  • Liaise with Field Operations (FOPS) and discipline supervisors to address HSE concerns.
  • Conduct site inspections as per the HSE calendar and report observations.
  • Monitor and coach Contractor HSE Officers, verifying their effectiveness.
  • Participate in rescue drills and HSE induction programs.
  • Ensure proper HSE communication and awareness at offshore sites.

Daily Security Activities:

  • Provide 24/7 emergency response and incident management support.
  • Conduct security risk assessments and maintain site security plans.
  • Organize and oversee security drills/exercises.
  • Monitor offshore security, conduct patrols and penetration tests.
  • Implement and enforce security measures for offshore platforms and control rooms.
  • Prepare and submit monthly security reports, detailing incidents and risks.
  • Process VIP visits and personnel security clearances.
  • Coordinate helicopter operations, briefings, and vessel orientations.
  • Liaise with national authorities to ensure compliance with security protocols.
  • Advise management on physical security enhancements to prevent unauthorized access.



Requirements

Required Certifications:

  • BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training) – Valid Certification.
  • H2S Training – Valid Certification.
  • NEBOSH International Certificate or NEBOSH Oil & Gas Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Authorized Gas Tester (AGT) Certification.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of military/law enforcement experience.
  • Extensive offshore & maritime experience.
  • Experience in HSE supervision, security management, and crisis response.
  • Familiarity with HSE and security best practices in offshore environments.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills in emergency situations.
  • Excellent time management and operational planning abilities.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written).
  • Physically fit to meet offshore operational requirements.
