Description

The QHSE Officer is responsible for implementing and monitoring Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems to ensure compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and international standards.



Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Health & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and company safety policies.

  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification.

  • Monitor site activities to ensure safe work practices.

  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and prepare reports.

  • Conduct safety inspections and audits regularly.

  • Organize toolbox talks and safety training for employees.

2. Quality Management

  • Implement and maintain quality management systems (QMS).

  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

  • Monitor product/service quality and report non-conformities.

  • Support internal and external quality audits.

3. Environmental Management

  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and policies.

  • Monitor waste management and pollution control measures.

  • Implement environmental protection programs.

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain QHSE records, reports, and documentation.

  • Prepare monthly QHSE reports and KPI reports.

  • Ensure proper documentation for audits and inspections.

5. Training & Awareness

  • Conduct HSE induction training for new employees.

  • Promote safety awareness programs.

  • Ensure workers use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) properly.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Occupational Health & Safety / Environmental Science or related field.

  • NEBOSH / IOSH certification preferred.

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards.
