The QHSE Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving the company’s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems. The role ensures compliance with company policies, local regulations, and international standards while promoting a safe and healthy work environment.
Implement and monitor workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and recommend corrective actions.
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Conduct safety inspections and audits regularly.
Deliver safety training and toolbox talks to employees.
Monitor compliance with quality standards and procedures.
Support implementation of quality management systems (QMS).
Assist in internal audits and quality inspections.
Ensure documentation and records are maintained accurately.
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company environmental policies.
Monitor waste management, pollution control, and environmental impact.
Promote environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives.
Maintain QHSE records, reports, and documentation.
Support implementation of ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) where applicable.
Prepare QHSE reports and statistics for management review.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing emergency response plans.
Conduct emergency drills and safety exercises.
Ensure availability of first aid and firefighting equipment.
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
Relevant HSE certifications (NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, etc.) preferred
2–5 years of experience in QHSE or HSE roles
