Job Description

The QHSE Supervisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards across the company’s operations in Dubai. The role ensures full compliance with corporate policies, contractual requirements, and local regulations, while promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors.

 

The position also plays a key role in leading the company’s certification process for ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

 

Key Responsibilities

HSE Supervision & Site Monitoring

  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor and supervise all HSE aspects of contractors’ activities.
  • Ensure contractors comply with contractual HSE requirements and company standards.
  • Verify that all employees follow internal group HSE policies and procedures.
  • Identify risks, non-compliance issues, and implement corrective actions.

HSE Awareness & Training

  • Plan, organize, and lead HSE awareness days and campaigns for all employees.
  • Deliver training sessions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization.

Occupational Health Management

  • Ensure proper follow-up and compliance with mandatory medical examinations for all employees.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee health checks and fitness certifications.
  • Coordinate with medical providers when necessary.

Risk Communication & Prevention

  • Develop and implement communication campaigns related to workplace risks, health, and safety.
  • Create engaging materials to raise awareness and improve risk prevention.
  • Continuously assess and improve communication effectiveness.

Digital & AI Integration

  • Leverage artificial intelligence tools to enhance HSE communication, reporting, and organizational efficiency.
  • Improve data analysis, messaging, and training delivery through innovative digital solutions.

Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor and analyze QHSE performance indicators and statistics for the subsidiary.
  • Prepare regular reports, dashboards, and recommendations for management.
  • Support continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.

ISO Certification & Management Systems

  • Lead the implementation and certification process for ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain integrated management systems in line with ISO standards.
  • Conduct internal audits, gap analyses, and ensure corrective actions are effectively implemented.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and certification bodies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to maintain certification and ensure ongoing compliance.
 

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a QHSE role, preferably in construction, industrial, or contracting environments.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards and certification processes.
  • Experience leading or supporting ISO certification audits is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple sites.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Interest or experience in using AI/digital tools is a plus.
