Risk & Safety Officer (Local Talent)

About the role

Support risk management, occupational health and safety, fire and life safety, and emergency preparedness at Crowne Plaza Resort Salalah.

Responsibilities

• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and hazard identification.
• Monitor compliance with hotel procedures, IHG requirements and applicable Omani regulations.
• Support fire and life safety systems, emergency plans and drills.
• Investigate incidents and near misses, and follow up corrective actions.
• Deliver safety training and toolbox talks.
• Monitor personal protective equipment and safe working practices.
• Maintain safety records and support audits and regulatory inspections.
• Promote a positive safety culture across hotel operations.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, risk management, security management or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in health and safety, risk or hotel operations; hospitality experience is preferred.
• NEBOSH, IOSH or an equivalent qualification is desirable.
• Knowledge of fire and life safety, emergency preparedness, incident investigation and occupational health and safety.
• Familiarity with Omani health, safety and civil defence requirements.
• Strong communication, reporting, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Good English; Arabic is an advantage.
