Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site inspections to identify unsafe conditions and practices. 
  • Ensure compliance with Qatar HSE laws, project specifications, and WSP safety standards. 
  • Monitor contractor activities and enforce the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). 
  • Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses; assist in incident investigations. 
  • Verify that safety permits (e.g., work at height, confined space, hot work) are properly issued and followed. 
  • Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors, and HSE officers to resolve safety issues. 
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers. 
  • Maintain accurate safety records, inspection reports, and documentation. 
  • Ensure proper signage, barricading, and safety controls are in place. 
  • Promote a strong safety culture across all project teams


Qualifications
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety (preferred).
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction safety, preferably in infrastructure or consultancy projects.
  • Knowledge of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) and local safety regulations.
  • Certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly preferred.
  • Strong observation, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
