We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to oversee and implement safety protocols at our multistorey building construction sites. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting site inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture among workers.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations at construction sites.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and enforce corrective measures.
Develop and implement safety policies, risk assessments, and emergency response plans.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety training, and awareness programs for site workers.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols.
Coordinate with project managers and supervisors to ensure safe work practices are followed.
Maintain records of safety audits, inspections, and training programs.
Liaise with regulatory authorities and ensure compliance with local construction safety laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field.
NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent safety certification is mandatory.
Minimum 4-6 years of experience in safety management at high-rise or multistorey building construction sites.
Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to handle emergency situations and enforce safety measures effectively.
