Safety Officer

We are looking for an experienced Safety Officer for a short-term assignment in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HSE field within power generation industry or a similar industry. 
 
Position Details:

• Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
• Work Schedule: 6 Days / Week, 10 Hours / Day
• Duration: 1 - 2 months, with the possibility of extension
• Joining: Immediate

• Valid NEBOSH Certificate
• Minimum of 7 years' experience in the power generation industry or a similar industry
• Candidates who are in dependent visa / freelance visa will be added advantage 
• Candidates available to join immediately will be preferred.

• Ensure compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental (HSE) legislation, client requirements, and company procedures.
• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments within power generation or industrial facilities.
• Identify workplace hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor high-risk activities, including electrical work, work at height, confined-space entry, lifting operations, hot work, and maintenance activities.
• Review and monitor permit-to-work (PTW) systems and ensure that required safety controls are in place.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks, safety briefings, and awareness training to employees and contractors.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; prepare reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Maintain HSE records, inspection reports, incident registers, training documentation, and safety statistics.
• Support emergency preparedness activities, including drills, evacuation procedures, and emergency response planning.
• Liaise with project management, operations teams, contractors, and clients on HSE matters.
• Promote a strong safety culture and encourage proactive reporting of hazards and near misses.
• Prepare regular HSE performance reports for management and client review.
