Safety Watch

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control high-risk operations such as hot work, confined space entry, excavation, and work at height, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
  

• Ensure that all work is performed under an approved Permit to Work (PTW) system.
  

• Maintain continuous communication with personnel involved in confined space and hot work activities.
  

• Conduct gas testing and monitor atmospheric conditions in confined or enclosed areas.
  

• Ensure availability and readiness of firefighting and safety equipment before, during, and after operations.
  

• Use radio communication systems effectively to report hazards or request assistance.
  

• Perform safety watch duties by maintaining visual and verbal contact with workers in hazardous zones.
  

• Report unsafe acts or conditions immediately to the HSE Officer or Supervisor.
  

• Support on-site HSE activities, including toolbox talks, equipment inspections, and compliance monitoring.
  

• Keep accurate records of observations and incidents as required by site procedures.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic Safety Training with valid certifications in:
  

  • IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
    

  • Basic First Aid
    

  • Fire Extinguisher Handling
    

Requirements

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HSE-related role within the petrochemical and/or oil & gas industry.
