Monitor and control high-risk operations such as hot work, confined space entry, excavation, and work at height, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
Ensure that all work is performed under an approved Permit to Work (PTW) system.
Maintain continuous communication with personnel involved in confined space and hot work activities.
Conduct gas testing and monitor atmospheric conditions in confined or enclosed areas.
Ensure availability and readiness of firefighting and safety equipment before, during, and after operations.
Use radio communication systems effectively to report hazards or request assistance.
Perform safety watch duties by maintaining visual and verbal contact with workers in hazardous zones.
Report unsafe acts or conditions immediately to the HSE Officer or Supervisor.
Support on-site HSE activities, including toolbox talks, equipment inspections, and compliance monitoring.
Keep accurate records of observations and incidents as required by site procedures.
Basic Safety Training with valid certifications in:
IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent)
Basic First Aid
Fire Extinguisher Handling
Minimum 2 years’ experience in an HSE-related role within the petrochemical and/or oil & gas industry.
