DescriptionQiddiya Investment Company is searching for a Senior Manager - Health & Safety for the QPAC project, an integral initiative aimed at creating a dynamic cultural and entertainment hub. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading health and safety efforts to ensure that all aspects of the QPAC development meet rigorous safety standards and regulations, providing a safe environment for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Your leadership will drive the development and implementation of comprehensive health and safety strategies, risk management frameworks, and ongoing training programs tailored to the unique needs of the QPAC project. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee health and safety management systems specific to the QPAC project.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Lead incident investigations, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence, while promoting transparency and accountability across the project.
- Design and deliver customized health and safety training programs that empower all team members to prioritize safety in their daily activities.
- Monitor health and safety performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with project teams to promote awareness of health and safety practices, ensuring integration into project planning and execution.
- Engage with regulatory authorities and stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant local and international health and safety regulations.
- Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to health and safety in large-scale project environments.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience in health and safety management, with significant experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, industry standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to convey complex safety concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and safety training delivery.
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to safety management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
