3. KEY RESPONSIBILITY 

 

1. Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures: Design, update, and enforce comprehensive HSE frameworks aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements to minimize risks and promote best practices.
2. Lead risk assessment and hazard management: Conduct thorough risk evaluations, identify potential hazards, and develop mitigation strategies across all operations, ensuring proactive prevention of incidents.
3. Oversee HSE training programs: Plan, deliver, and evaluate training initiatives for employees at all levels to build awareness, competence, and a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
4. Ensure regulatory compliance: Monitor adherence to local, national, and international HSE laws, standards, and guidelines; conduct gap analyses and implement corrective measures to avoid penalties.
5. Investigate incidents and accidents: Lead root-cause analyses of workplace incidents, near-misses, and environmental spills; recommend actionable improvements and track their implementation.
6. Manage emergency response planning: Develop, test, and refine emergency preparedness plans, including drills and coordination with external agencies, to ensure swift and effective crisis response.
7. Monitor and report HSE performance: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as incident rates and environmental metrics; prepare detailed reports and dashboards for senior leadership to drive data-informed decisions.
8. Promote safety culture and engagement: Champion behavioral safety programs, employee involvement initiatives, and leadership walkthroughs to embed HSE principles into daily operations and organizational values.
9. Conduct audits and inspections: Perform regular internal and external audits, site inspections, and supplier evaluations to verify HSE controls and identify opportunities for enhancement.
10. Liaise with stakeholders and regulators: Serve as the primary interface with government agencies, industry bodies, and internal departments to facilitate inspections, certifications, and collaborative HSE efforts.
11. Manage HSE resources and budgets: Oversee the allocation of budgets, procurement of safety equipment, and management of HSE teams or contractors to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
12. Drive continuous improvement: Identify emerging HSE trends, integrate innovative technologies (e.g., digital monitoring tools), and lead projects for sustainability enhancements to support long-term organizational resilience.
