We are seeking an experienced Technical Safety Engineer to support Technical Safety and Loss Prevention activities for Offshore Fixed Platform projects during the FEED and Detailed Engineering phases. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that safety requirements are fully integrated into facility design, conducting risk assessments, and developing technical safety deliverables in compliance with international standards and client requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execute technical safety engineering activities for offshore fixed platform projects during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases
  • Perform and participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, Bowtie, and other risk assessment studies
  • Develop and review Technical Safety deliverables including Safety Philosophy, Fire Protection Philosophy, ESD Philosophy, and Hazardous Area Classification reports
  • Conduct Fire & Gas Mapping studies and develop Fire and Gas Detection layouts for offshore facilities
  • Perform consequence modeling, fire and explosion analysis, and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) studies
  • Prepare and review Escape, Evacuation and Rescue (EER) studies and Temporary Refuge assessments
  • Review process, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and layout designs to ensure compliance with safety requirements
  • Develop and review passive and active fire protection systems, firefighting systems, and emergency response requirements
  • Support identification and management of Safety Critical Elements (SCEs) and associated performance standards
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and provide technical safety recommendations to minimize project risks
  • Ensure compliance with applicable offshore regulations, international standards, and client specifications
  • Coordinate with engineering disciplines, clients, and third-party consultants on technical safety matters
  • Support closure of safety action items arising from HAZOPs, design reviews, and risk assessments

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Process Engineering, Safety Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 8–15 years of experience in Technical Safety / Loss Prevention Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry
  • Proven experience on ADNOC Offshore Fixed Platform projects during FEED and Detailed Engineering phases
  • Strong experience in QRA, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, Fire & Gas Mapping, and consequence modeling studies
  • Knowledge of fire protection systems, hazardous area classification, and emergency shutdown systems
  • Experience using consequence and risk modeling software such as PHAST, SAFETI, FLACS, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with offshore design practices, safety regulations, and risk management methodologies
  • Strong communication, technical report writing, and stakeholder management skills
