Health and Safety Officer (Events)

Leapstrides Consulting FZ-LLC
Temporary
On-site
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Are you a safety-first professional with a sharp eye for detail and a passion for keeping teams protected — even in the most high-pressure, fast-moving environments?

We’re hiring a Health and Safety Officer on behalf of a leading events technology partner in the region. Known for delivering high-impact AV installations and equipment rental for large-scale events, this firm operates at the intersection of creativity, precision, and rapid execution.

With multiple high-profile builds and events lined up across Saudi Arabia, they’re looking for a certified HSE expert who can help keep crews safe, sites compliant, and risks firmly under control.

If you thrive in environments where no two setups are the same — and where your technical know-how, field awareness, and leadership could be the difference between chaos and control — this one’s for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

This isn’t a desk-bound HSE role. You’ll be in the thick of it — on-site, hands-on, and responsible for the safety of both people and process across event venues, construction setups, and temporary AV installations.

Your impact will show up in how you:

  • Lead site inspections, identify hazards, and implement practical, real-time safety solutions
  • Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) tailored to AV and construction site needs
  • Deliver engaging toolbox talks and on-site safety briefings that resonate with diverse, multilingual teams
  • Review electrical setups like cable runs, temporary power systems, and rigging installations for full compliance
  • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Project Managers, Site Leads, and Tech Crew to embed a safety culture at every stage
  • Liaise with Saudi regulatory bodies and venue stakeholders to ensure smooth and compliant operations
  • Maintain meticulous documentation on incidents, audits, training, and HSE records
  • Stay on top of evolving Saudi labor laws and construction safety standards — and translate them into action on the ground

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone who’s calm under pressure, decisive on the ground, and confident in navigating both people and paperwork. You’re likely to be a strong match if you:

  • Hold a recognized Health and Safety qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent)
  • Bring 3–5 years’ site-based HSE experience — ideally in construction, industrial, or AV environments within Saudi Arabia
  • Have solid electrical safety knowledge (bonus if you’re trained in electrical systems)
  • Are fluent in Arabic and English, and able to lead briefings and safety discussions across diverse site teams
  • Have hands-on familiarity with Saudi labor laws, construction compliance, and site safety enforcement
  • Bonus: Prior experience in the audio visual, live events, or technical services space
  • Candidates with Saudi nationality are strongly encouraged to apply due to local regulations and client preferences

Why This Role? Why Now?

  • Join a dynamic company trusted by top-tier clients across the events and AV production industry
  • Step into a mission-critical role that puts your skills and decisions at the heart of every successful project
  • Work on live, high-stakes environments where every setup is unique and your influence is immediate and valued
  • Start with a 4-month contract, with the possibility of renewal or transition into a longer-term engagement
  • Exposure to some of the most innovative event setups in the region

Your Next Step

If you’re a qualified HSE professional ready to step into a fast-moving, high-impact environment — we’d love to hear from you. Apply with your CV and a quick note on your experience with site-based risk assessments and electrical safety in Saudi Arabia.

Not sure if your profile fits perfectly? That’s okay. If you bring the right mix of technical acumen, situational awareness, and a proactive mindset — we’d love to consider your application.
