Known for their commitment to excellence, service quality, and guest safety, they are seeking a qualified HSE Coordinator to ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards across their Dubai operations.
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend control measures.
- Ensure compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety training for employees and contractors to promote a safety-first culture.
- Lead incident investigations and prepare reports to determine root causes and preventive measures.
- Monitor workplace conditions and ensure the enforcement of safety protocols.
- Review and analyze safety performance metrics and prepare regular reports for management.
- Coordinate emergency response drills and procedures to ensure preparedness.
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies during inspections and audits.
- Maintain records of training, incidents, and inspections in compliance with legal requirements.
- Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the organization.
- Advise management on safety improvements and best practices.
- Provide support and guidance to project teams regarding health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Assist in developing safety materials and communication strategies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and regulatory changes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental management and should be from Hospitality background
- Knowledge of relevant local and international regulations and standards.
- Certification in health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- UAE experience is must.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and safety management software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence others.
- Experience in training and mentoring employees.
- Knowledge of incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety and environmental responsibilities.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as required.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
