Health & Safety Manager (HSM002)

About the role

Foreground is recruiting a Health & Safety Manager for a leading oilfield services provider in Oman. The role oversees safety protocols across drilling and field operations, ensures compliance with HSE regulations, develops safety programmes and promotes a strong safety culture in high-risk environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE management systems aligned with international standards.
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses and emergency-response planning.
• Lead safety training across drilling and operational teams.
• Monitor compliance with Omani and international HSE regulations.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and industry bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in safety, engineering or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
• At least 10 years of HSE management experience in oilfield services or drilling.
• Knowledge of ISO and OHSAS standards.
• Strong leadership and English-language skills; Arabic is an advantage.
