HSE Advisor

SOMS is seeking an HSE Advisor for a four-month contract in Oman. The role supports safe operations by monitoring HSE performance, advising site management and coordinating HSE activities with the client.

Responsibilities

• Monitor HSE performance and report results to management.
• Support operations with training, procedures, safety talks and investigations.
• Guide site management in implementing the HSE plan.
• Arrange and participate in HSE meetings, audits, inspections and emergency exercises.
• Liaise with the client safety department and keep site management informed of current HSE requirements.
• Maintain safety statistics, incident records, the incident tracker and the HSE training matrix.
• Assist with incident, accident and near-miss investigations and monitor waste-disposal compliance.
• Coordinate client-approved and in-house HSE training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and NEBOSH International General Certificate.
• At least five years of oil and gas operations or maintenance experience.
• Relevant HSE experience and thorough knowledge of local and international HSE standards.
• Omani candidate.
