HSE Officer – Oil & Gas Shutdown Project

SGS is seeking an experienced HSE Officer for a 30-day oil and gas shutdown project in Sohar. Responsibilities include monitoring HSE compliance, conducting site inspections, identifying hazards and corrective actions, supporting safe maintenance and shutdown activities, managing permit-to-work requirements, delivering toolbox talks, reporting incidents and near misses, supporting investigations, coordinating with contractors and the client, and maintaining HSE records and reports. Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, NEBOSH IGC, NEBOSH Diploma or Level 3 HSSE certification, at least five years of oil and gas experience, at least two years of GCC experience, and previous shutdown project experience. Proficiency in MS Office, fluent English and strong communication and reporting skills are required. The shutdown begins 8 November 2026, with mobilization required on or before 4 November 2026.
