DescriptionA) Responsibilities:
- Ensure workplace and environmental safety.
- Ensure the safety of all personnel, visitors, and contractors.
- Provide on-site health and safety advice to field teams and supervisors during drilling and production.
- Monitor and escort safety contractors during site checkups.
- Recommend proactive actions to improve safety visibility and performance.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, ensuring that preventative actions are followed up.
- Assist in collecting HSE performance data, developing reports, and implementing corrective actions.
- Roll out safety programs, procedures, and initiatives; coach field teams in their implementation.
- Provide input into future improvement initiatives and projects.
- Verify compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, client requirements, and guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining ISO 9001 certification and environmental systems.
- Help develop HSE plans and set HSE objectives.
- Assist in the development of emergency response systems.
- Provide relevant information for monthly HSE reports.
- Conduct regular HSE audits, inspections, and maintain records.
- Deliver HSE presentations and training as needed.
- Support work site HSE and safety promotions and campaigns.
- Participate in evacuation drills.
- Conduct Safety & First-Aid training for new recruits.
- Conduct safety risk assessments and job hazard analysis, implementing control measures.
- Take fire preventive actions, especially during summer.
- Ensure employees wear proper clothing and PPE.
- Respond to employee safety concerns and emergencies.
B) Authorities:
- Can stop any machine/job that poses a hazard.
- Take over HSE Team Leader responsibilities in their absence.
- Instruct employees on partial or full evacuation in emergencies.
- Issue penalties for safety violations.
- Report any abnormal issues that could cause future dangers to management.
