Qualification:
- Minimum Bachelor degree in either Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, or any related major.
- Five (5) Plus years’ hands-on experience in Aluminum Extrusion Industry as QA/QC Head.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop Quality strategies, department’s Yearly Business Plan, objectives and Monthly Operation plan.
- Analyze financial and Department KPIs to identify key areas of opportunity, cost reduction, energy efficiency, and optimize asset uptime and performance.
- Develops, trains and motivates team members to achieve desired safety, efficiency, proficiency, cooperation morale; maintains awareness of Quality and/or implement Quality policies and procedures and ensures employee adherence/ may recommend and implement Quality Assurance procedures.
- Carrying root cause analysis for the rejections/customer complaints and implements procedures to minimize defects due to these occurrences.
- Assists with tasks such as monitoring and determining quality assurance, quality control and calibration methods, tooling applications and ensures the effective use of quality tests, testing machines, equipment and facilities.
- Uses data to estimate work-hour requirements and departmental efficiencies for continuous improvement Quality.
- Ensuring conformity of quality management system in their area of responsibility.
- Provide test certificates as desired by the customers or as per industry norms.
- Responsible for all people related matters for his team; partner with Production Manager and HR Manager for hiring needs; performance evaluation and developmental needs to ensure motivation and retention.
- Emergency response, immediate action to address critical issues.
- Develop/Revise standard operational and work practices/tools to the best available methods and technology.
- Conduct regular quality audits.
- Develop and enhance the health and safety practices and procedures.
Requirements, knowledge and skills:
- Exquisite Knowledge of aluminum extruded profiles, Alloy specifications, Die drawings & designs product knowledge and quality standards.
- Profound knowledge of ISO standards and certifications.
- Strong management skills. knowledge of lean management & six sigma is a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Well experience on problem solving and Root cause analysis skills.
- Must be able to apply good judgment and make decisions independently.
- IT / Computer skills, preferably with Oracle knowledge.
- Positive, collaborative, and open-minded attitude. Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change in an organization.
- Ability to "think outside the box" and "on your feet.
Preferred Candidate profile would be
- Age group not more than 55 years
- Good command in English language and Arabic (preferred)
