Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Implementation
- Enforce project HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices on site.
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Monitor compliance with Permit to Work (PTW) systems, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and Risk Assessments.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to safety rules by all employees and contractors.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and safety awareness campaigns.
Compliance & Audits
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, applicable legislation, and international safety standards (e.g., ISO 45001, OSHA).
- Support internal and external HSE audits and inspections.
- Report non-conformances and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
Incident Management
- Assist in reporting, investigating, and analyzing incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, logs, and statistics.
Environmental Protection
- Monitor environmental controls related to waste management, spill prevention, and environmental protection.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Support environmental inspections and compliance activities.
Training & Awareness
- Deliver site HSE inductions for new employees and contractors.
- Support HSE training programs and safety campaigns.
- Promote a strong safety culture and proactive hazard reporting.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Experience
- HSE experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, refinery, or EPC projects.
- Proven experience in construction safety and site-based HSE operations.
- Experience working on large-scale or high-risk projects is preferred.
- Proven experience in the oil & gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries, with strong exposure to construction safety on large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to audit and monitor compliance with Saudi Aramco HSE requirements, ensuring the minimization of losses to Saudi Aramco, the public, and contractors.
- Experience in preparing, implementing, and maintaining effective loss control and safety programs, including the development and follow-up of corrective and preventive action procedures.
- Thorough knowledge of international safety standards, codes, and procedures, applicable to oil & gas and construction environments.
- Possession of an internationally recognized professional safety certification such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CMIOSH is highly desirable.
