Senior Safety Engineer

Deliver technical safety engineering for oil and gas projects in Muscat. Employer requisition MUS0179.

Responsibilities

• Develop HSE and fire and gas philosophies, layouts, mapping, and cause and effect documents.
• Perform physical effects modelling and quantitative risk assessment, including flare radiation, dispersion and facility siting studies.
• Support hazardous area classification, safety critical element standards, ALARP demonstrations, fire protection design and HAZID/HAZOP workshops.
• Review safeguards, vendor technical documents and design safety deliverables across project stages.

Requirements

• Engineering degree.
• At least 15 years of engineering or consultancy experience in oil and gas facilities, including ten years of technical safety engineering on onshore facilities.
