We are looking for HSE Officer who is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and improving health, safety, and environmental management systems within the organization. They ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and standards, aiming to create a safe and sustainable working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Health and Safety:

    • Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify hazards and risks.
    • Implement and maintain safety initiatives and programs.
    • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and report findings with recommendations.
    • Provide safety training to employees and management on relevant topics.
    • Maintain safety documentation and records as required.
  2. Environment:

    • Develop and implement environmental management programs.
    • Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
    • Conduct environmental audits and assessments.
    • Recommend and implement measures to minimize the organization's environmental footprint.
    • Provide environmental training to employees on best practices.
  3. Compliance and Reporting:

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation and standards.
    • Prepare reports and presentations on HSE performance for management and regulatory agencies.
    • Participate in internal and external audits related to HSE.
  4. Communication and Training:

    • Promote HSE awareness throughout the organization.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders on HSE matters.
    • Communicate HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines to employees.
    • Conduct emergency response drills and ensure readiness.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in occupational health and safety (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) is preferred.
  • 3+ years experience as an HSE Officer or similar role, preferably in [industry or sector].
  • In-depth knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
